Space Travel

  Traveling through space is expensive and takes years to reach another planet.  It also increases our knowledge and expertise in the worlds around us.  So is it a good thing or a bad thing?  To pick a side I believe you have to be a scientist.  So open your mind and tell yourself that you are a scientist.  Let your mind know that you are smart.  Then take into action, and right now pick a side. Is space travel is good or bad.  Your choice you made up right now, I want you to try and stick with it through out the whole blog.

    Space exploration has lots of things for us as we learned in last weeks blog.  GPS has revolutionized the location of things on Earth - a thing one could only previously have done with a sextant and much work.

We now know FAR more about the world in which we live in, from 
doing
what, sending but a few probes, the majority of which have 
technology
from years ago, due to in-flight elapsed time. We have discovered 
worlds 
like our own orbiting other stars.  Now, of course costs will incur for
 all such space exploration programs. However, if seen from an 
investing point of view it is actually quite lucrative.  On average 
it would cost a few billion give or take.  But get this, "1 Kilometer 
of asteroid is worth an average of $150 billion" Joza states.  
Money is no the solution though.  The fact of the matter is do you 
want to travel through space for many years.

    To get from earth to saturn it would take 45 minutes give or take if traveling at the speed of light.  Yet rockets do not travel at the speed of light so it would take many years.  Maybe even lifetimes depending on where your trying to go.  So even with space travel becoming closer and more achievable, where do you go?  Space travel may help to explore the universe but WHAT ABOUT ALIENS? What if we disturbed a hostile race that we call ALIENS! What if they were angry an decided to invade us? Could we protect ourselves?  Most likely not, but who knows?  A lot of people believe our money needs to go to a better place instead of "throwing it away" towards space exploration.

    This is some of the qualities from each side.  With reading and comprehension of the article do you still believe space travel is good or bad?  In my opinion, I say carry on to find those aliens and explore our universe. Money is something we created as a currency and your meant to spend it.  If someone wants to live there life in a rocket, I'm not going to stop you.  I believe space travel is the most interesting thing about us human being.  Yet being in one place is not what we are supposed to do.  In the end there is no good or bad side.  Just space exploration.
