Space Travel

Traveling through space is expensive and takes years to reach another planet.  It also increases our knowledge and expertise in the worlds around us.  So is it a good thing or a bad thing?  To pick a side I believe you have to be a scientist.  So open your mind and tell yourself that you are a scientist.  Let your mind know that you are smart.  Then take into action, and right now pick a side. Is space travel is good or bad.  Your choice you made up right now, I want you to try and stick with it through out the whole blog.

Space exploration has lots of things for us as we learned in last weeks blog.  GPS has revolutionized the location of things on Earth - a thing one could only previously have done with a sextant and much work.

(Sextant shown above)
We now know FAR more about the world in which we live in, from
doing
what, sending but a few probes, the majority of which have
technology
from years ago, due to in-flight elapsed time. We have discovered
worlds
like our own orbiting other stars.  Now, of course costs will incur for
all such space exploration programs. However, if seen from an
investing point of view it is actually quite lucrative.  On average
it would cost a few billion give or take.  But get this, "1 Kilometer
of asteroid is worth an average of $150 billion" Joza states.
Money is no the solution though.  The fact of the matter is do you
want to travel through space for many years.

To get from earth to saturn it would take 45 minutes give or take if traveling at the speed of light.  Yet rockets do not travel at the speed of light so it would take many years.  Maybe even lifetimes depending on where your trying to go.  So even with space travel becoming closer and more achievable, where do you go?  Space travel may help to explore the universe but WHAT ABOUT ALIENS? What if we disturbed a hostile race that we call ALIENS! What if they were angry an decided to invade us? Could we protect ourselves?  Most likely not, but who knows?  A lot of people believe our money needs to go to a better place instead of "throwing it away" towards space exploration.

This is some of the qualities from each side.  With reading and comprehension of the article do you still believe space travel is good or bad?  In my opinion, I say carry on to find those aliens and explore our universe. Money is something we created as a currency and your meant to spend it.  If someone wants to live there life in a rocket, I'm not going to stop you.  I believe space travel is the most interesting thing about us human being.  Yet being in one place is not what we are supposed to do.  In the end there is no good or bad side.  Just space exploration.

History of exploration in Space

Many common everyday services such as weather forecasting, remote sensing, GPS systems,  satellite  television, and some long distance communications systems critically rely on space infrastructure. These  advancements  help us through-out daily activities. Through space technology made from NASA to SiriusXM these resources
 may be over-looked.

German scientist in World War ll came up with a rocket in the year of 1942.  The first exploration in space was the cosmic radiation explored by the U.S. in the year of 1946.  This same year the U.S. achieved photos of Earth from outer space.  This was done with suborbital experiments only, therefore means the rocket was limited in the time it had to fly.

The first launch to go all around the Earth was accomplished by the Soviet, in 1957.  They had successfully placed a satellite in orbit emitting beeps from the two transmitters linked to the station that could be picked up from any where.  From here they analyzed the radio signals to gather information about the electron density of the ionosphere, and temperature and pressure was encoded in the duration of radio beeps.  This success led to an escalation of the American space program.

John Glenn orbited the Earth February 20, 1962.    The first manned landing on another celestial body was performed by Apollo 11 in its lunar landing on 20 July 1969.  The first interplanetary surface mission to return at least limited surface data from another planet was the 1970 landing oVenera 7 on Venus which returned data to Earth only for 23 minutes before breaking down. In 1971 the Mars 3 mission achieved the first soft landing on Mars returning data for almost 20 seconds.

In the 2000s, several plans for space exploration were announced; both government entities and the private sector have space exploration objectives.   China plans to build a multi-module space station in orbit by 2020.  NASA proposes to have a cargo like rocket.  These are some of the brief objectives people have been striving to achieve.  Though this is only a ruff preview of all the sciences technology has to offer, we have only scratched the surface.

ADVANCING THE FUTURE

IMAGINE  a space rocket that can pick you up and safely place you down upon return.  SpaceX has drawn worldwide attention for they have made a leap in modern science/technology.  Space travel may become something that is a lot more achievable.  My blog is going to be traveling through space and time to uncover new and upcoming technology.

My Five Question Consist Of -

1. What was the first experiences in space?
2. Who is making large steps in space science/technology?
3. Where could we potentially go other than Earth?
4. Why is space travel important?
5. What is SpaceX?
